Hi friends!

I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself. I’m Kendra Minadeo, an artist, illustrator, surface designer, picture book, and comic bookmaker. I’m obsessed with kid-oriented things; books, toys, furniture, games, clothes, you name it! My inner child wants to frolic and swim in as many fun and whimsical adventures as possible. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

An origin story!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m Canadian, from Alberta, the Texas of Canada.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was orphaned at 13 and somehow got myself through college debt-free. (Thanks, Canada!) My focus was on Arts & Cultural Management because, like many, I believed I couldn’t make art for a living. After school, I moved to Ohio and started a non-profit film festival with some super cool friends. The festival evolved into an art house theater that’s still standing (for now, thanks covid). Upon moving to Los Angeles, I joined a theme park design firm (yup, that’s a thing!) and met my future husband working on a NASA project. Living in LA helped me see that artists and creatives can and do make a living, and at my husbands' urging, I began to pursue art more seriously. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

‍I’m a mum to a 4-year-old boy named Finn. (After Adventure Time, of course)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We have an old rescue pitbull pup named Beaker. He’s a beauty who believes he’s a lapdog!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
